Potato, Kazakhstan, 2023, Fe20

CROP:  Potato, "Skarb" variety

PRODUCT: Fe20 (foliar application)

YEAR:  2023

COUNTRY: Kazakhstan

APPLICATION:

  1. Control. Фон NPK. (Variant 1)
  2. Background NPK + Fe20. Foliar application: 1st - in the phase of full germination (plant height 15-20 cm), 2nd - in the budding phase, product consumption - 1.5 kg/ha, working solution consumption - 300 l/ha. (Variant 2)
  3. Background NPK + Fe20. Foliar application: 1st - in the phase of full germination (plant height 15-20 cm), 2nd - in the budding phase, product consumption - 2.0 kg/ha, working solution consumption - 300 l/ha. (Variant 3)
  4. Background NPK + Fe20. Foliar application: 1st - in the phase of full germination (plant height 15-20 cm), 2nd - in the budding phase, product consumption - 3.0 kg/ha, working solution consumption - 300 l/ha. (Variant 4)

Trial plots area – 100 m², observed plots area – 25 m². Trial repetitiveness — four times.

RESULT:

  1. Yield increase compared to control with NPK background: 6.54-12.42%.
  2. The yield increase resulted from improvements in yield structure: tuber weight per plant increased by 4.0-5.1%.
  3. The share of the marketable fraction increased by 5.2-16.3% (number of large tubers, fraction over 60 mm).
  4. Quality indicators improved: vitamin C content increased by 11.4-20.5%, nitrate content decreased by 4.4-25%.
  5. Starch content was not affected by the treatment.
  6. The maximum result was achieved with a double application at a 3.0 kg/ha dose.
  7. All yield increases exceeded the experimental error and were statistically significant.

Strengthening of enzymatic and biochemical processes, for crops with high iron needs or during growth and development phases that are sensitive to iron nutrition

Crops: citrus plants, grape, tomato, and fruits

BENEFITS

  • Stimulates production of polyphenols and proteins
  • Transports chelated mineral compounds in plant systems at the cellular level
  • lncreases yield and crop quality
  • Reduces water demand due to improved stomata function
  • Stimulates photosynthesis
  • Improves the work of enzymes
  • Prevents development of oxidative stress
  • Increases natural resistance to diseases and pests
  • Improves stress resistance against cold and drought
  • Increases levels of valuable substances and flavorings (e.g. vitamins, sugars, flavonoids, starch)
  • lncreases cationic nutrient ion exchange capacity
  • Improves formation of new cell-enzymes and their activities
  • lmproves storage and transportation capabilities

Iron improves chlorophyll formation, being a component of the enzymes that catalyze pigment synthesis. Iron-sensitive plants receive the necessary nutrition and form larger fruit with increased resistance to mechanical damage.

APPLICATION

  • Young plants and/or fresh leaves
  • Before periods when strong vegetative growth is expected
  • After flowering
  • After fruits have formed
